I came across a really cool use of Wordpress today at the web site for Firefly Multimedia - one of the better uses of WP as a CMS, with some really great Flash elements also. I always like to acknowledge great sites that impress me, so great job Firefly!

The plugin “Deepest Sender” by mozdev.org is a great tool to make blogging easier and faster! If you come across something on the net that you’d like to blog about, now you can just right click on the article, picture, whatever and hit “send to deepest sender” and the plugin will send the information directly to your blog editing page. You can then edit however you’d like and hit “post”. There’s no opening multiple windows, no logging in (it caches your login info after you download it. And you can have multiple blogs too and choose which to send it to) and it is just faster and easier to send things you come across to your blog.
Works only in Firefox though. Which you should be using anyway. 
And it works for virtually any blogging platform - LiveJournal, Wordpress, Blogger, etc.
I was getting like 15-20 spam comments a day through this blog and now I don’t get any.

I’m going to be messing with new themes the next few days. So this place might be slightly dis-jointed until I get it adjusted the way I want.

I just upgraded to WP2.0 and HOLY COW. It took all of 5 minutes - however long it took to upload the files. SO easy, what a great application.

Ok, I’m long overdue to change my theme again. I’m going to start hunting around tonight for a new banner and go from there.

Sara’s friend Dean has this great “about me” page that lets people ask him questions and he answers them. She thought this was a brilliant idea.. Sara modified Dean’s version to store the data in a database and provde a few other capabilities.
This gives readers the opportunity to ask her what they want and she will answer them! Will make for a much interesting “About Me” page. Her page is called: Ask Me and you can find it in her menu now.
