Where does the time go?

I feel so busy sometimes that when I actually STOP and have a free moment or day, I realize that I just can’t keep up the pace emotionally any more. Between dealing with lawyers and courts in a custody case, buying a house, getting a new job and taking care of Tyler, I just barely have time to think anymore (let alone blog!)

So I’ve had a couple free days lately - tomorrow being my last one for a long time - and it’s really given me some time to read and think and what I’ve realized most is that I need to slow down. And I need to better plan out my goals and not get so flustered with all the things in my life that are going on. Granted, they are very serious things and I do have a RIGHT to be flustered with the amount of emotional stress that I’ve gone through lately, but it’s just not healthy.

I’ve been affected more physically than anything else. My body does not take to stress well. I’ve been sick off and on, tired ALL the time and even my body hurts. Man I feel old lately - I’ve been having muscle problems in my feet, excessive popping and cracking in my shoulders, hips, knees, ankles. It’s not fun. Most mornings when I wake up I can barely even walk! If anyone reading this has children, BEWARE when you’re pushing them in sports - it can be pretty damaging for them later in life. I have close to 20 years of gymnastics under my belt and my body is so ridden with arthritis that it will never be the same.

So take my advice, slow down. Everything in life happens for a reason and our time here is too short to waste it being frustrated, angry and speeding along at such a fast pace that we can’t appreciate the good things we have.

Ciao.
