Oliver Stone is in the progress of filming a movie detailing the terrorist attack on NYC on 9/11/01. The movie is called “World Trade Center” and could see release as early as the end of this summer, early fall. Possibly right around the time of the events 5th anniversary.
Starring Nicolas Cage, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jay Hernandez, Maria Bello & more - it is being filmed currently in NYC on an impressive set with a full recreation of ground zero.
I for one am still very emotional about 9/11 and find the clips still impossible to watch without tearing up. I’m not sure how I will fare in a theatre for this one, but I’m sure I will go see it. I can only hope things are portrayed correctly and the outcome is an education in the disasters that terrorism has been responsible for. Preventing these things is the key and through remembering our past I hope this movie helps move us towards a more peaceful future.
What do you think about a film like this? Would you see it? Do you think it’s too soon?
We may have a slight change in plans when it comes to buying a house right now. After dealing with a couple different lenders to get a decent mortgage rate, etc, it seems that if we save up some money and work on our credit scores for just a bit longer, we will qualify for some MUCH better programs and rates. It only seems logical. We could take a higher rate now, but we will just pay for it over time. And although I love the house that we found, it’s not the only house out there. So right now it looks like we may cancel this deal and wait another 6 months and see what happens.
I just want us to be in the best position possible when we go into this. Right now we don’t feel in control of the situation and I think we are being taken advantage of.
So it looks like we’re off to apartment hunting once again!
Oh well, everything happens for a reason right?!
I just read a really fascinating article/blog post “Scientology: Ground Control to Major Tom?” here about Scientology - the facts, the myths, etc. I’m in total agreeance with Dax that this whole group is nothing but a scam, cult, whatever you want to call it. Hardly a religion.
It’s sad really - because Scientology has been almost glorified in the media lately when they show images of Tom, Katie and the other “Scientologist” who are rich and happy, etc. It’s a very mis-leading image of the pseudo-religion and what they are REALLY all about.

I think I need to start exercising. It seems to be the only things missing from keeping myself as healthy as I would like. Plus I am ALWAYS tired and I don’t have much energy.
I eat decent, take vitamins, get enough sleep (even though it never feels like enough), yet I find myself falling asleep while driving, at work, and just being exhausted in general.
Exercise seems to be the only thing lacking. I know I’ll be extremely active the next couple months with moving, painting, working on the house. But after that I think I am going to join a gym.
I’m looking for an image gallery script that will create thumbnails and display larger image (possibly above the thumbnails, etc). The entire thing has to be scaleable to around 460px wide or under and still look functional and display about 4 images across.
I’ve been searching around on Hot Scripts, but I’m getting frustrated because I can’t find what I’m looking for.
If you know of one, please let me know. I suppose it can be Javascript or Flash - but I’d like to keep it as accessible as possible.
